Asan Ginkotree Road
LED Media Facade
This is a media facade project at the Culture and Arts Center on Asan Ginkgo Tree Road. Based on the story of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, who spent his childhood in Asan, Korea it consists of a message of hope to Asan citizens who overcame COVID-19, and art works that make the existing cultural and artistic workshop a completely different space through the media façade.
The Turtle Ship
This video starts outdoors, continuously progressing indoors, and ends back in the vast sea. The first theme(00:00-01:00) of the opening door sequence was my responsibility, where I modeled and placed various objects to depict Admiral Yi Sun-sin, who was proficient in both literature and martial arts. To engage the audience's interest, I used multiple door designs and orchestrated changes in atmosphere for each space. In the sea scene(01:40-02:30), I supported the production by creating flag simulations, arrow animations, and structures.
Given the importance of representing traditional Korean imagery in this project, I devoted considerable effort to researching materials to ensure they did not blend with other Asian cultures.
We become One, and make a leap forward
The exterior wall of the Ginkgo Rest Building was decorated in various ways to greet visitors and stimulate their interest.
This is the third theme, “Peace and well-being,” conveys a warm heart with a message of hope.
